  1. The rumor turned out to be true. Now that Belmar got sold (http://www.denverpost.com/business/ci_28879389/starwood-capital-acquires-belmar-from-southern-ute-tribe) the news stories have quotes saying there are 35 acres left for development including surface parking lots, and only half of planned residential has been built. Any idea what space they are including in those 35 acres, and where would residential go - I thought all the residential lots are spoken for?

  2. I'm not sure if that 50% figure includes the almost but not quite complete Trifecta apartments. Hmm. But 35 acres is a lot of land, especially if developers go higher.

  3. Any idea how high they could go? I'd imagine the zoning probably caps it at 5-6 floors tops? No taller than Hyatt?

    1. I believe all of Belmar is zoned M-C-U (Mixed Use- Core- Urban), which has a max height of 120 ft. Plus M-C-U has rules about how much taller a given building can be compared to the buildings around it. So, we're not talking skyscrapers. Certainly no taller than the Hyatt.
